Inactivity – a global issue.

The Lancet has published a study that found lack of physical activity causes nearly 10% of all premature deaths in the world and is comparable to the impact of smoking or obesity. 1.3 million deaths could be prevented worldwide if folk took the powerful exercise ‘drug’ of 30mins of moderate activity per day or 150 mins over 5 days. Physicians who exercise are considered more credible and engage better with their patients when it comes to counselling. I wonder if that applies to our politicians?! There is clearly a global inactivity epidemic – it behoves us all to set an example. Agreed? Need Help?
