Heart attack and Stroke Risk

JAMA, (US equivalent of the British Medical Journal), reports on a study of 905,115 person-years of data from 1964 to 2008. They were looking at the risk of ordinary folk having a heart attack or stroke (including death) through all age groups.

The conclusions:

Men had higher lifetime risk than women at any age.

After aged 45 the lifetime risk of heart event or stroke was high at more than 30%.

BUT a healthy lifestyle (optimal risk profile) is associated with a 14 years longer life, free of heart attack or stroke.

At CORE HEALTH we can show the way to a healthy lifestyle. 14 precious years.
